Underwater World

As we did read a report about the "Dive with Sharks" opportunity at Underwater World Sentosa, we had to give it a try. The Aquarium itself is quite impressive, if you get there early in the morning, it is a very nice experience.

We had some time before our program started, so we took a look around. After that, a very charming instructor took us to the "backstage area" of the tanks and could enter one of the big tanks. Cownose rays behaved like dogs and asked for shells all the time. The sharks (black tip reef sharks) were easygoing, but their skin was very interesting. The moray felt like old thin leather, but the rays reminded us of some sort of firm jelly. But the feeling was beyond words, I didn't touch such a surface before.

If you're in Singapore, check out Underwater World, it's worth a visit.

Underwater World Entry Area

Outside Dolphin Tank

Suddenly two of them appeared and started talking and smiling...

Unfortunately, we did not understand...

But they looked kinda cute :)

Nautilus...

Quite extravagant look...

How many fishes are on this picture...?

Looks bigger than it was...

They were moving all day long...

They looked kinda interesting...

So we went in one of the big tanks and had to feed the cownose rays with shells...

And had to caress the 2-3m moray...

Eliane had some fans amongst the visitors...

Wave, wave, wave. The Asian style...

We made some new friends...

We've met a relative of Paul...

And later finished the day at our favorite restaurant Que Pasa...
