First Days

My first days were dominated by my search for relief from my neck and shoulder pain, which I first tried with a Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. The treatment was really very painful and had no effect...

Two days later I went to National University Hospital Singapore. They're really organized over there, no matter what they do, it costs always SGD90 and they did take care of me. After a consultation and an x-ray, they gave me some painkillers and an orthopedist should call me for an appointment. The next day his secretary called me and fixed the appointment with the clinic director. The second appointment was really good, the doctor even asked a professor for further advise and confirmation of the diagnosis.

Between the two appointments I went for some swimming and suddenly I could move much better. It seems that some nerves were incarcerated. So it's getting better now from day to day.

It was a nightmare to find a suitable a/c adapter for my macbook, as all the shops I visited in Singapore (5), had no stock for the 85W version. It was quite disappointing and I don't know, why there is no store from Apple itself. There are many "epicenter"s and others, but to be honest, they're not really helpful. Or how would you rate "dunno" and "don have"... In the end I bought the world adapter set for SGD58 which was the second best option.

On my way back from my local shopping center I encountered some monkeys, a group of about 20, they were on the roof of the small pedestrian bridge, on the handrail and the ground. They looked at me the same way as the other asians here look at me, sometimes I feel like a zebra in a flock of sheep...

And yeah, sometimes there is quite a lot of traffic in Singapore...
